LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police arrested 11 people after an “unruly” crowd formed outside of a resort on the Las Vegas Strip early Sunday morning.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to an incident in the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18.
The Las Vegas Strip casinos located on that block are the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, Horseshoe Las Vegas, and Paris Las Vegas.

Police said a “large” crowd formed due to a performance in front of a resort that began to affect the flow of traffic. Officers contacted the crowd and attempted to take multiple people into custody.
At some point, an officer was hit by an item thrown by a person in the crowd, but did not get injured.
Officers arrested 11 people at the incident.
Multiple area commands from Metro responded to the incident and were able to bring the situation to a “peaceful resolution,” police said.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic were returned to normal by 3 a.m.
