LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two missing children last seen near their foster home in California were found in Las Vegas Saturday afternoon, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
On Saturday, around 3:20 p.m., LVMPD Fusion Watch spotted a vehicle near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road that was associated with an Amber Alert from California initiated two days prior.
The Amber Alert, initiated on Aug. 21, identified the suspect as 30-year-old Jackeline Hernandez-Torres, and the children as her 2-year-old son, Derek Alejandro Rodriguez-Hernandez, and her 10-year-old son, Jaden Hernandez.

On Aug. 21, at 1:30 a.m., the brothers were last seen walking away from their foster care home in the 300 block of South Virgil Avenue in Los Angeles. It was believed their biological mother, identified as Hernandez-Torres, took them from Virgil Avenue to the area of the 1500 block of East 52nd Street, according to LAPD.
Las Vegas Metro officers stopped the vehicle and detained the people involved. The two children are now safe, according to Las Vegas police.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said it is working with the Los Angeles Police Department as the investigation continues.
