A traveler passing through Las Vegas got an unforgettable sendoff after hitting a $3.3 million jackpot on a slot machine inside Harry Reid International Airport.
The winning spin happened over the weekend at a Wheel of Fortune slot machine located in the airport’s C Gates, according to a June 29 X post from Harry Reid International Airport. Airport officials congratulated the lucky flyer, writing that it was “one way to spend a layover” and thanking the traveler for making Las Vegas part of their “lucky journey.”
The airport did not identify the winner or say where the traveler was headed. No additional details about the jackpot or the winning wager were immediately released.
Another huge Las Vegas jackpot this month
The airport win comes just days after another visitor struck it big at a Las Vegas casino.

On June 16, an Atlanta visitor won $10,292,912.32 while playing an IGT Megabucks progressive slot machine at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, according to the resort. Officials said the guest had been playing for only a few minutes before turning a $5 wager into the eight-figure jackpot.
“Las Vegas is built on unforgettable moments, and it doesn’t get much more memorable than turning a $5 bet into more than $10 million,” Westgate Las Vegas President and General Manager Cami Christensen said in a statement at the time.
The resort said the winner celebrated with guests and employees as news of the jackpot spread across the casino floor.
Big airport jackpots aren’t unheard of
While a multimillion-dollar airport jackpot is rare, Harry Reid International Airport has seen several other travelers strike it rich before boarding their flights.

In May 2025, an unidentified player turned a $5 bet on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine in the D Gates into a $1.8 million jackpot. Months earlier, in August 2024, a traveler from San Diego won nearly $1.5 million on another airport slot machine. The airport also announced a jackpot of more than $1 million in January 2024.
