LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An early-morning visit to Resorts World Las Vegas turned into an $11 million payday for one guest who was simply in town to see family.
The visitor was playing IGT’s Megabucks™ Mega Vault™ slot game just before 6 a.m. when the reels aligned, awarding a statewide progressive jackpot worth more than $11.1 million.
It marks the first Megabucks jackpot ever hit at Resorts World Las Vegas.

The guest, who placed a $5 bet, was joined by their spouse and family on the casino floor. They had been at the machine for roughly 15 minutes when the life-changing moment happened.

Resorts World officials said the winner was visiting loved ones in Las Vegas, turning what was supposed to be a routine family trip into something unforgettable.
