LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An emergency plane landing south of the Las Vegas valley closed a portion of northbound I-15 Saturday afternoon, according to Nevada State Police.
A four-seater single-engine aircraft landed on the northbound lanes of the I-15 after mile marker 13, just two miles south of Jean. The aircraft experienced engine failure before landing on I-15, 14 miles north of the Nevada-California border, Metro police said.
Two people were inside the aircraft and no injuries were reported, according to Metro police.

All northbound lanes of the I-15 were closed at mile marker 12/ Jean exit, according to RTC Southern Nevada. All traffic was diverted off I-15 to SR-604. I-15 reopened hours later.
The FAA was notified of the emergency landing.
