LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 19-year-old is accused of shooting at another driver nine times after that driver reportedly honked at him near the entrance of a fast-food drive-thru.
Jacob Longsine faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon for the shooting on Friday, Sept. 26, records said.
Longsine and another driver “were involved in a road rage incident” in a parking lot on Tropicana Avenue near Fort Apache Road when Longsine allegedly fired nine rounds, four of which hit the other driver’s occupied vehicle, police said.

Several bullets also hit other vehicles in the parking lot, police said.
The reporting victim told police he was pulling into the parking lot, specifically the In-N-Out drive-thru, when another vehicle, which police determined Longsine was driving, was blocking the driveway, documents said.
“[The victim] said that while he was arguing with the male from outside his vehicle, he could see that the male was keeping his left arm inside the vehicle, telling [him], ‘You don’t want to do this,’” documents said. “[The victim] was in fear that the male had a firearm in his car due to the way he was keeping his arm inside the vehicle. [The victim] got into his car and drove away.”
Police later located Longsine through license-plate readers and a GPS tracking device, documents said.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 14.
