LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A road rage incident that ended in a parking lot left one man with a broken neck and another man facing charges for attempted murder, battery, and possession of drugs, according to an arrest report.
Michael Anthony Gonzalez, 36, is being held on a $250,000 bail following his arrest on Sunday, June 15. He has a criminal record dating back to 2006 and served time in the Nevada Department of Corrections for charges of robbery and burglary with a deadly weapon, according to records.
The victim remains hospitalized due to extensive injuries, including a broken cervical spine.

An argument between the two men, Gonzalez, who was driving a car, and the victim, who was on a motorcycle, started on Lamb Boulevard near Charleston Boulevard and ended in a nearby Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot.
Police said multiple witnesses said Gonzales used his car to chase the victim on his motorcycle, through the parking lot, weaving “through multiple aisles,” and then intentionally rammed into him, throwing the victim at least 15 feet from his motorcycle, which was pinned underneath Gonzales’ car. After the crash, witnesses said Gonzales removed a gun from a holster on the motorcycle and laid it on his trunk before leaving the scene on foot.
Gonzales was taken into custody by an officer arriving at the scene. Gonzalez told police that the victim had fired a gun at him several times in the parking lot, and that was why he rammed him with his car. Police said they found no evidence of the victim’s gun being fired. It was fully loaded, and no witnesses heard any gunfire.
Gonzalez is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court on June 18.
