Florida: A Solar Paradox

Earlier this week 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 published an article titled: 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙.

The fact that Florida is a leader in solar doesn’t surprise anyone who follows solar. However, given that the state took the concerted action to remove all references to climate change from state policies, what may surprise some is the “how.”

But what I gleaned from the article goes beyond the “what” or “how.” Florida illustrates a valuable lesson that the climate community can learn.
