This has been my mantra for a number of years, but today I read perhaps the most comprehensive article written as to why the current climate change strategy had no chance of success.
The article titled ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ช๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ is authored by Daniel Yergin, Peter Orszag, and Atul Arya and is published in ๐๐ค๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐จ magazine. It discusses all the key elements in executing an energy transition as complex as migrating away from fossil fuels.
I recommend everyone read it. In my opinion, it serves as the premise for developing a revised and realistic strategy to achieve net-zero, versus attempting to achieve the ill-conceived objective of totally eliminating fossil fuels.
Ironically, as I was writing my post this morning, Mr. Yergin was being interviewed on CNBC. For those who would like to hear directly from the horseโs mouth, check out his interview of Squawk Box. It starts at 1:42 mark of the show.
Iโm going to post highlights of the article this week starting today with a how history offered the required insight on transitions that climate activists have basically chosen to ignore.
