ScottishPower and its parent company, Iberdrola, are driving the development of green hydrogen production in the UK by leveraging Iberdrola’s global experience and successful track record of delivering green hydrogen production projects in Spain and developing projects across eight countries.
Two of ScottishPower’s leading projects in the UK were successful in the Government’s first Hydrogen Allocation Round, which were two of the first three projects to sign Low Carbon Hydrogen Agreements in December 2024.
These two projects are the 10MW facility at Whitelee Windfarm and the 15MW facility in Cromarty in partnership with Storegga.
ScottishPower is also taking forward a feasibility study for a 100MW production plant at the Port of Felixstowe with support from the UK Government’s Net Zero Hydrogen Fund. ScottishPower
