Amazon Prime’s value extends beyond fast, free shipping, with a growing list of perks that make a membership worth the cost. The latest addition? Prime members can now access fuel discounts at thousands of gas stations across the U.S. According to Amazon, this new benefit could help members save up to $70 annually on fuel at participating locations.
This move brings Amazon Prime closer in line with Walmart+, which has been offering members gas discounts for several years.

Amazon Prime fuel savings offer
Amazon Prime’s new fuel savings offer allows members to save 10 cents per gallon when fueling up at around 7,000 BP, Amoco and AMPM locations across the U.S.
In 2025, Amazon plans to expand this benefit by adding a discount an electric vehicle charging discount with BP Pulse, BP’s electric vehicle charging business.
How it works
To activate the fuel discount, visit amazon.com/fuelsavings to connect your Amazon account with Earnify, which is the loyalty program of BP and its subsidiaries. Standard, non-Prime loyalty members normally only save five cents per gallon, but with this perk, you’ll save 10 cents.
If you’re a new Earnify rewards member, you can enjoy a 250-point welcome offer and earn 2X points for the first 90 days after registration. You’ll also earn one point per dollar in fuel spend and two points per dollar in convenience spend. 200 points equals $2 in convenience savings or an additional five-cent per gallon discount.
Amazon Prime vs. Walmart+
If you’re deciding between an Amazon Prime and Walmart+ membership, Amazon’s fuel discount is a welcome addition. Other perks of a Prime membership include fast, free delivery on millions of items, access to Prime Video and a free Grubhub+ membership.
Meanwhile, Walmart+ members can save 10 cents per gallon on fuel at over 13,000 Exxon, Mobil, Walmart and Murphy stations. In addition to free shipping with no minimum, members have access to additional perks like free 24/7 access to pet care through Pawp and a Paramount+ Essential membership.
Pro tip: You can cover the cost of a Walmart+ membership with a monthly Walmart+ statement credit of up to $12.95 plus applicable taxes (subject to auto-renewal) with The Platinum Card® from American Express. Terms apply.
