Years ago, when I began to immerse myself in the cleantech industry, I was a huge fan of hydrogen. I thought it represented a major zero-emission step forward in multiple markets from transportation to power generation.
I’m still enthusiastic about hydrogen, but as they say knowledge is power, and I now realize that many significant technical hurdles must be overcome before hydrogen can go mainstream.
The good news is that the industry is tackling those hurdles from production, to storage, to distribution. And although much work remains, every week, news stories about interesting hydrogen developments cross my desk.
