Yesterday’s topic discussed the faction of the population that continues to deny climate change. Largely falling along political lines, the opposition against actions to neutralize global warming seems counterproductive.
A new UN poll illustrates that in many countries it may also be politically unwise. Except perhaps in the U.S. where the results indicate that the polarization runs deep.
Some of the poll’s findings include:
- Globally, 56% of those polled said they think about climate change daily.
- A similar number said their concern over climate change is greater now than a year ago
- Almost 70% indicated decisions on where to live and work were being affected by climate change.
Check out the presentation for more of the poll’s findings.
