Residential electrification (Brazil)
One of the strategies underway in developed countries – aiming to reduce emissions – is to replace gas with electricity in residential environments.
In Brazil, this would be a very interesting opportunity also from a financial point of view. Especially for the middle and upper classes who have the purchasing power to buy electric ovens/stoves, for example.
And they can still do “cost arbitration”. By migrating the residence to the white tariff, daytime electricity becomes more affordable, favouring the electric solution.
At night, if the oven/stove is heavily used, the possibility of using the existing gas stoves could be studied!
Waiting for our leaders, whether in the electricity sector or the Government, to take initiatives is a “wishful thinking”. I see the opportunity for suppliers of this equipment and large chain – retail stores to “make it happen”. Anyone who wants to prospect this type of business, count on me!
