Future Energy Prices & La Niña
Meteorologists are predicting, practically in consensus, that in a few months,
El Niño will be ending and La Niña will be entering (with intensity)!
For the southeastern region of Brazil, the expectation is for a drier period.
Less rain. Reservoirs of the main hydroelectric plants in decline. And the most likely consequence is an increase in electricity prices on the free (deregulated) power market.
Is your company/institution prepared for this scenario? My experience, of more than 20 years in the Brazilian free market, shows that those who study and create alternatives will be more successful than those who prefer to decide in the heat of events.
