Canal Energia published an article stating that Brazil is the 8th consumer of residential energy in the world in absolute volume.

What does it mean? At first, the impression is that we are in the “front pack”. Is that really so?

My preference is evaluating the per capita energy consumption. In other words, considering the population. As presented by the NGO Our Wold in Data website.

Brazil has a consumption that is a fraction of that of developed countries. In other words, we are – actually – in the “back pack”.

When will we become aware of this fact and when will we turn around this situation?
