Expectations for stellar CAPEX reductions and hydrogen cost reductions are becoming more realistic. The innovation market is characterized by high expectations, especially against the backdrop of the development of the “green” agenda. Political slogans overshadow common sense.
Nevertheless, the hydrogen agenda has survived and has not lost its relevance on a broader planning horizon.
If we look at the energy balance of 2040-2050, a period when significant changes are possible, then hydrogen will occupy its niche. It is unlikely that this will be the dominant figure, but up to 10% increase potential exists.
Therefore, the key issue for Russia now is not even the supply of hydrogen to the world market, but the development of technologies for its production in order to remain on the agenda.
