If we talk about wind energy installation then MW capacity of individual machine does not impact more on project activities like land, road, pathways, civil foundation, erection crane, bop, time to complete & fixed resources etc. other than some logistic additional so overall if capacity of individual machine increases say from 250 kw to 800 kw to 1.5 MW to 2.1 MW to 2.5 MW to 3.3 MW to 4.5 MW to 5.5 MW & so on then definitely more MW capacity can be installed in a stipulated time as compared to past time. Now in coming time, developers are going with higher capacity to optimize the cost also. Wind installation is always more complex than solar PV being scattered in 100km perimeter, land availability & more prone to row & logistic issues.
Indian Govt also targeting more solar than wind installation based on past executed capacity but due to higher capacity of machine now overall installed capacity may increase than solar in India.
