No one can ignore the situation that the people of Cuba are experiencing right now, because of the sanctions being imposed on any country that sends oil, by the United States in a very unjust manner.” //REPORTER ASKING: “Today you announce you’re going to give more support to Cuba but obviously you clarify that oil support is halted, that oil sales are halted.”SHEINBAUM: “Yes, I said it some time ago that we’re looking to avoid harming Mexico. But there’s a lot of harm being done to the Cuban people.”Mexico was Cuba’s largest supplier after Venezuelan shipments ceased in December following a U.S. blockade. Washington has threatened tariffs on countries that send oil to the Caribbean island.
