LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A deadly crash closed part of a major Las Vegas freeway near Spring Mountain Road in the central valley Friday morning, according to Nevada State Police.
At around 8:30 a.m., Nevada State Police responded to a crash on the I-15 northbound on-ramp to Spring Mountain Road.
Police said the crash involved a Chevrolet work truck and a pedestrian. State police said a man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. About an hour later, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

NSP said the following roadways were closed:

I-15 north to Spring Mountain west
-
I-15 south to Spring Mountain west
-
Westbound Spring Mountain between the IR15 northbound on ramp and Polaris
-
Polaris at Spring Mountain.

Drivers should expect delays in the area and are advised to use other routes. Police said the road closures will be in place for approximately three to four hours.
