Las Vegas police arrest 15, cite 70 in DUI blitz operation

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Following the holidays, Las Vegas police arrested 15 people and cited more during a DUI blitz operation.

The operation was conducted on Saturday, Dec. 26, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on social media.

“Officers from LVMPD Convention Center Area Command, LVMPD South Central Area Command, LVMPD Traffic, and LVMPD 911 Communications worked hard to keep you safe on the roads,” the post said.

During the blitz, the LVMPD achieved the following results:

• 70 Citations

• 15 DUI Arrests

• 5 other arrests

• 1 firearm recovered

The police did not specify the reasons for the other arrests.

“Remember, there are too many safe options to drive impaired!” the LVMPD wrote on the social media post.
