LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — On the same day a small explosion occurred outside of Piero’s Italian Cuisine, a prosecutor noted in court that the son of the restaurant’s co-founder allegedly made new threatening phone calls to the business.
Evan Glusman, 47, originally faced charges of making terroristic threats and harassment following his April arrest, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported. His father, Fredrick “Freddie” Glusman, founded Piero’s Italian Cuisine in 1982.
On Nov. 13, a “small explosion” occurred outside the restaurant, police said. That same day, a note in Evan Glusman’s court docket reads, “State makes representations the defendant called Piero’s Italian Cuisine and made threatening phone calls.”

On Friday, April 25, Evan Glusman texted a Piero’s manager, “I hope you realize I’m drinking and I’m going home to get a gun and [expletive] kill them in the middle of Piero’s,” according to documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained.

Evan Glusman pleaded no contest to a harassment charge on May 20, records said. Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Diana Sullivan ordered Evan Glusman to four weeks of outpatient treatment. Should he fail to complete other requirements and stay out of trouble, Sullivan would send him to jail for six months.
A note in Glusman’s court docket says he completed part of that inpatient treatment in July and completed other treatment requirements this month.
Glusman was not charged with a new crime and was not connected to the explosion as of Monday. The court scheduled a Nov. 25 revocation hearing.

In June, Amazing Brands purchased the restaurant from Freddie Glusman, a post on its website said.
On Saturday, Metro police arrested John Navarro, 35, in connection with the explosion, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported. During a court appearance on Sunday, a judge set bail at $100,000, records said. He was scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
