SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A City Heights gas station canopy fell over during the heavy rain and strong wind in San Diego County Saturday evening. Luckily, no one was injured.
Workers at an ARCO gas station at Fairmount Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard in City Heights had a bit of a scare during the rainstorm that moved across Southern California this past weekend.

High winds that came with heavy pockets of rain snapped the gas station canopy at its base, causing it to fall over.

Workers told FOX 5/KUSI the area was extra windy Saturday night and that no one was injured.

Despite the damage, vehicles were still pumping gas after the incident like normal.

Northern San Diego County was hit the hardest during this latest storm, with Oceanside recording nearly 3 inches of rain over the past three days. The San Diego Airport had nearly 2 inches of rain fall during the storm.

But the rain isn’t over just yet. More rain is moving into Southern California Monday through Wednesday.
