CLIFTON, Colo. (KREX) — On Saturday at around 9 a.m., the Clifton Fire Protection District (CFPD) was dispatched for reports of an RV that was on fire at a C&F Gas Station located at the 400 block of 32 Road.
According to initial reports, the RV’s engine compartment was on fire and was parked at the gas pumps.

When CFPD arrived at the scene, fire crews initiated an offensive fire attack to extinguish the flames that had fully engulfed the RV. Crews also ensured that all fuel pumps were off during the operation.

The fire was contained to the RV and no injuries were reported.
CFPD thanked the Grand Junction Fire Department and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office in a statement, noting that “their assistance was critical in fire suppression and traffic control.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
