With 77 electric vehicle models now available, Cars.com’s editors identified the best EVs for 2026 looking at value, use, performance and technology and selected the following models for their range, affordability, family-friendliness and technological innovation.
Here’s what they found:
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV which starts at $33,600. Cars.com showed the feedback on it is that it has speedy DC fast-charging capability and multiple regenerative-braking settings. On the downside, Cars.com said it has no front trunk, stiff ride over rough payment and no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 starts at $42,600 and has an estimated range of 318 miles on a full charge.
The 2026 Kia EV9 which starts at $54,900.
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 which starts at $37,850. Cars.com shows the good feedback on it as excellent ride and handling, quiet cabin, beautiful design and efficient. On the downside, small trunk opening and cramped backseat.
The 2026 Lucid Air which starts at $70,900. Its estimated range will be 372 to 420 miles on a charge.
The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV, starting at $52,800 and an estimated range of 393 miles.
