During the Israel-Hamas War, Abu Ayadeh was also responsible for several terrorist attacks, including against IDF soldiers operating in the Khan Yunis area over recent weeks, the military added.
Additionally, the IDF on Tuesday struck a “key Hamas terrorist” in the vicinity of Tripoli, Lebanon, the military confirmed.
A later announcement by the IDF identified the Hamas terrorist in Lebanon as Mehran Mustafa Ba‘jur, whom the Israel Air Force killed in an airstrike, the military noted.

“Ba‘jur was one of Hamas’s key commanders in Lebanon, and as part of his role, he spent years establishing Hamas’s military capabilities in Lebanon,” the IDF said.

“Additionally, he was one of the leaders responsible for the terror organizations’ force-build up efforts, and facilitated the purchasing of weapons through his connections with other terrorist organizations in the area,” the military added.
“For years, Ba‘jur advanced and directed numerous terrorist attacks against the IDF and Israeli civilians. During the war, he was responsible for rocket fire attacks toward Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona, and additional cities across Israel,” the military said.
