After a shade over two months with no Mega Millions jackpot winners, the streak has come to an end.
According to the Mega Millions website, the jackpot winner from the June 27 drawing came on a single ticket sold by an E&C gas station in Burgess, Virginia. The winning numbers were: 18, 21, 29, 42, 50 and Mega Ball 2.
The lucky winner nabs an estimated jackpot of $348 million, with the cash option allowing the new millionaire to take home $155.5 million in total.

According to WDBJ7, this is the 10th Mega Millions grand prize won in Virginia since the game began in 2002. It is also the largest single prize won in Virginia Lottery history.
As of this writing, nobody has claimed the prize, so if you’re in Virginia and purchased your ticket at that gas station, which is located at 14878 Northumberland Highway, make sure to check your tickets.

In Virginia, winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
With the hit on the jackpot, it marks the first time since April 18 that someone has taken home the top prize. The last winner on a jackpot totaling more than $300 million came on March 25 ($349 million).

To say the winner is lucky would be an understatement. The chances of securing the top prize in the Mega Millions is an astounding 1 in 290,472,336.
The next drawing will occur on Tuesday, with the jackpot resetting to $50 million.
