LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A person was killed in a shooting near Harry Reid International Airport Friday night, according to police.
At around 9 p.m., Las Vegas Metro police received a 911 call reporting a shooting near the 6600 block of Gilespie Street on Sunset Road and South Las Vegas Boulevard, Lt. Robert Price said.
Price said when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man on the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical responders took him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, Price said the victim and the suspect, identified as Jacob Conrad, 34, were seen arriving together in the same vehicle at a parking lot. After exiting, an argument between the two broke out, with Conrad pulling out a gun and shooting the victim.
Conrad then left the scene however, security officers in the area were able to locate him.
Conrad was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon, police said. Conrad is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Sunday at 9 a.m.
