LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Flooding occurred in some areas across the Las Vegas valley Thursday night following the first signs of measurable rain in months.
A road closure along a ramp from I-15 southbound to the Southern 215 Beltway westbound closed down all lanes. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use other routes.

Another area that was impacted by flooding included Las Vegas Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue in the northeast valley.

Thursday brought on widespread rain throughout the day and isolated chances of rain in the evening. A Winter Storm Warning for the mountains was expected until 4 p.m. Friday, according to 8 News Now Meteorologist Tedd Florendo.
Water was seen pouring out of a parking garage and into a nearby wash near Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. The water flow is normal for the area during heavy precipitation.
Lingering rain showers were expected to move into the Las Vegas valley Friday.
