LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man called 911 and admitted to shooting a woman he met on a dating app after an early morning fight, according to an arrest report obtained by 8 News Now.
At around 4 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on the 9300 block of Aspen Shadow Street, near Cimarron and Blue Diamond roads.
A man identified as Paul Moore, 50, called 911, saying he shot a woman in his home after the two got into a physical fight and he felt “threatened,” the report stated.

Arriving officers found Elizabeth Nam, 53, on the floor with a gunshot wound to her back. Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
Moore’s roommate told investigators that Nam and Moore met on a dating app about a month prior and a short time later she moved into the home and was staying in Moore’s room, the report stated.
The roommate told police he overheard the two arguing at around 4 a.m. Moments later, Moore came downstairs and told his roommate he shot Nam, according to the report.
Moore then called the police on himself, police said. He had several injuries including a a swollen lower lip and scratches on both knees. When questioned by medical personnel about a cut on his body, Moore claimed that Nam bit him and he bit her back, police said.

Aside from the gunshot wound, Nam had multiple injuries, including scratches on her nose and left forearm, a bleeding cut on her chin, and an abrasion on the left side of her head.
Officers noted that they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and red, watery eyes, the report stated.
Police arrested Moore and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center where he was held without bail on a charge of open murder.
Court records show his next court appearance was scheduled for Feb. 12 at 8:30 a.m.
