LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fatal crash in the south Las Vegas valley left one person dead on Sunday.
Around midnight, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the crash near Desert Inn Road and Pawnee Drive.
Police said evidence at the scene indicated that a Nissan Altima was traveling west on Desert Inn Road when a person walking on the street crossed its path. The crash caused the person to be redirected forward, while the Nissan came to a controlled stop.

The 29-year-old driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to LVMPD.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
This crash marks the 17th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction for the 2025 year.
