Energy: your company competing with itself!
Two metrics should be carefully monitored month by month: $/kWh and kWh/activity.
And better yet, a graph should be created showing the evolution of these two metrics to identify whether there is progress in the management of costs and energy consumption.
There is a list of precautions that can and should be taken to achieve and maintain excellent results, which include:
* Adjustments of contracted demands in relation to those physically registered
* Maintenance of the power factor to avoid fines
* Tariff classification for contracting demand
* Reduction of waste
* Arbitration of costs between energy sources
* Transfer of consumption to off-peak hours
Companies and institutions that are truly interested in energy ,use these graphs as a reference for information for the entire team: from upper managers to operations technicians.
