A great “new” energy storage
How about developing a simple, proven, cost effective and widely available solution associated with energy storage?
I mean retrofitting a home using (currently) instant electric water heaters by electric tank heaters (traditional ones or even solar ones).
This solution is basically to program the “heating” hours of the electric tank during the off-peak hours (early hours of the day) when the system’s load curve is at its minimum.
And of course select a time of use rates. It is a super win-win!
* The home’s monthly power bill will drop significantly
* The local utility and the whole electric power supply chain will be able deliver more energy with the same ongoing investment
* Solution providers will thrive
