Ferry Pass residents will need to find an alternative to fuel their vehicles after one of East Nine Mile Road’s signature gas stations closed unexpectedly on Tuesday.
The pumps at Pensacola’s lone Dodge’s convenience store, located at 1710 E. Nine Mile Road, are taped off and fences have been put up to prevent motorists from entering the area. The Dodge’s branding has been removed from the building and gas pumps, and a large Dodge’s sign has been covered and seemingly dismantled.
Dodge’s staff on site declined to comment on the matter and were unable to estimate when customers can return.

The location’s Facebook page was updated Tuesday to indicate that it has permanently closed, and the store no longer shows up on the company’s list of locations.
Staff declined to comment on whether the store was closing temporarily or permanently.
A representative of D & H Company, a Mississippi-based company that operates the Dodge’s brand, hung up when the News Journal called to inquire about the closure.
