Which States have the “Dirtiest” Electricity

Yesterday we covered the 13 states that have reached the 50% milestone for carbon-free electricity generation. Today, we’ll reveal the 10 states at the bottom of the list, and more.

Looking deeper into the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) data that was released earlier this year exposed some interesting tidbits. These ranged from how widespread wind and solar are, to the impact of a state’s political leanings on clean power production, to the sources of most of our clean electricity.
