The 4 hats of the energy consultant

When providing consultancy I have to wear (at least) 4 hats!

1. “Technical” hat

I use it to discover solutions that could work for the client considering their energy usage and the source contracts signed.

2. “Financial” hat

It is important to evaluate the business formats that best fit the customer’s requirements and that represent a relevant cost.

3. “Management” hat

It is essential in terms of the human factor. Who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of projects, including operation and maintenance issues during their useful life.

4. “Legal” hat It aims to ensure that solutions are well framed, respect regulatory requirements and also establish formats for resolving conflicts.

With these hats, systemic service to the customer’s interests and conveniences is ensured.
