Singapore | Hydrogen Aviation
The Singapore Hydrogen Cooperation Committee, formed by Airbus, Changi Airport Group, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), and Linde, is advancing hydrogen fuel’s potential role in the nation’s aviation decarbonization strategy.
Tasked with examining regional hydrogen market dynamics, supply chain infrastructure, and operational feasibility, the committee envisions hydrogen-powered flights becoming a reality in the coming decades.
With plans to consume up to 600 tonnes of liquid hydrogen daily by 2050, Singapore aims to be at the forefront of adopting hydrogen technology when it matures. Key stakeholders emphasize the importance of continuous monitoring of technology, regulations, infrastructure, and supply chains to facilitate the eventual integration of hydrogen-powered aviation.
