Wind energy in check
A list of new wind farm projects in the United States is compromised. In other words, they are being reviewed and will not “fly”.
The main factor involved is the increase in project costs. Inflation and interest rates are the main “culprits”.
In this way, wind energy has lost competitiveness in relation to other sources. In other words, if it were carried out it would cost more than the alternatives.
In a truly competitive environment this is what happens!
In Brazil we have another approach. The lack of competitiveness does not inhibit our leaders who take care of the electricity sector from making decisions that are not the most interesting and convenient.
It is no wonder that we are out of competitive parity in energy, when the comparison is with the BRICS.
