Energy: why is Brazil losing the race?
Brazilian industry, which traditionally offered the largest share of GDP in “added value”, has reduced its share, decade after decade.
The main reason is the “Brazil cost”. We lost to a list of developing countries. Notably from the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
In the energy area, for example, Brazil is in last place when the metric is $/kWh.
When will we “wake up” to this irrefutable fact and, most importantly, start discovering what needs to be done to “turn around this situation””?
Meanwhile we will remain not “developing” but “underdeveloped”.
