The gradual and now massive introduction of renewable brought a new challenge. How to approach its intermittency?

Conceptually it is very simple! And economically viable. We are living in an age where smart energy meters are very cheap. So knowing the consumption profile is easy!

Technically there is no need for any sophistication. It would be enough for all consumers to start paying their monthly electricity bills based on the two variables that are already charged to industry, commerce and institutions: consumption and demand.

Consumption everyone already knows and is associated with the commodity. Demand is the cost of the capacity that is available to serve that customer.

The system is already deployed on a large scale for those connected to medium and high voltage. It is fair in the sense that all pay the associated costs for both kWh energy and kW demand.

If so, each one pays what it costs!
