Energy consultant: is it necessary?
The question seems treacherous, especially formulated by a consultant like me!
If there is a legal problem, a lawyer is called. If a health one, a doctor. If it’s in the accounting area, an accountant. And the list goes on!
It is natural that we have this approach, calling on those with knowledge and experience to make good quality decisions in areas in which we are not specialists.
We know that we can act without these supports. But… we also know that most likely we will not have the range of alternatives to be able to choose the one that best fits our specific situation.
In the field of energy, given the complexity of regulations, the multiple possibilities for contracting, the risks involved, the ways to mitigate them, the strategies for contracting assets or results, it is easy to agree that knowledge and experience are worth and a lot!
