A 3 MWe geothermal plant contract awarded by Turkey’s AFJET will be installed in parallel with a 100 MW geothermal district heating system.
The plant is expected to be fully functional within the end of second quarter 2016, generating electric power from a low enthalpy geothermal source, exploiting hot water at 110 °C.
Manufactured in Turkey by a local manufacturing arm of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Turboden, the turbine is an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)-type.
Turboden Turkey ORC Turbo Jeneratör Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, is based in Ankara.
Recently Turboden also signed an order with chipboard firm Starwood for a new 5.5 MW cogeneration plant in Bursa, Turkey.
